Brendan joined Insmed in November 2023 as Senior Vice President, Finance, bringing more than 20 years of experience across integrated financial and operational leadership in the life sciences, spanning large-scale pharmaceutical and early-stage biotech companies. Prior to Insmed, Brendan served as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer at Xalud Therapeutics, where he helped the company scale, raise capital, and advance its novel gene therapy pipeline. Prior to Xalud, Brendan spent 18 years at Pfizer in roles of increasing responsibility, including General Manager of Greenstone LLC and Strategy and Business Operations Lead for Pfizer’s Essential Health Business in the U.S., Latin America, and China, translating complex strategies into sustainable growth. He also held key roles in Corporate Strategy and Finance where he led deal evaluation, integration, business transformation, and working capital initiatives. Earlier in his career, Brendan worked at Deloitte & Touche and Arthur Andersen.
Brendan holds a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Hofstra University and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the State University of New York at Geneseo. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
