Samuele joined Insmed in June 2026 as Senior Vice President, General Manager, Global Respiratory, bringing with him a proven track record of delivering global healthcare innovation and business leadership.
Prior to joining Insmed, he served as President, Pulmonary Hypertension & Retina, at Johnson & Johnson and before that, as Worldwide Vice President, Infectious Diseases & Vaccines, where he oversaw the company’s global initiatives to build and maximize the value of its infectious diseases portfolio across areas of high unmet need, including co-leading the COVID vaccine efforts.
Prior to Johnson & Johnson, Samuele spent 13 years at Novartis, most recently in Oncology, where he led all cell and gene therapy activities to ensure successful global launches, including for the first CAR-T therapy. At Sandoz, he oversaw market preparations for the launch of the first U.S. biosimilar. Earlier in his career, he was a consultant at McKinsey & Company across multiple geographies, worked in global financial markets at Goldman Sachs, and contributed to international economic development initiatives with the United Nations.
Samuele holds a Bachelor of Science in International Economics from Bocconi University in Milan, Italy, and a Master in Public Policy from Harvard University.
