Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging
We value the unique backgrounds and perspectives that each team member brings, and we are committed to taking steps to support equity and inclusion for all. Today, women make up 33% of our board and 38% of our executive committee. Importantly, we are implementing initiatives to continue to advance the development of diverse talent at all levels of our organization. Above all, we aim to foster an inclusive work environment that best supports the diverse needs of the patient communities we serve.
Rooted in our five core values, our strategy aims to forge an inclusive work environment for our people so that we can best support the diverse needs of the patients we serve.
Our inclusion efforts include:
Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) that give employees the opportunity to build community, discuss meaningful topics, expand cultural awareness, and much more. Our growing list of ERGs includes groups supporting female employees, working caregivers, Hispanic/Latinx colleagues, Black colleagues, Asian/Asian-American/Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander colleagues, members of the LGBTQIA+ community, and intergenerational employees.
Expanded recruitment efforts that tap into diverse talent pools
Empathy and inclusion training for all employees
Clinical trial diversity efforts
Demographic data collection and analysis of our employee makeup
In addition, we’re committed to equitable pay for all employees. Industry benchmarks and annual internal equity reviews are key tools in our approach to providing a fair and equitable compensation system. By ensuring equity upon hire and conducting annual compensation reviews, our compensation philosophy is one of many factors that helps foster an inclusive, positive, and equitable culture.

“My attitude has always been that no matter who you are, whatever gender, race, age, or background, you need to go in and make the impact you’re capable of making. But as leaders, we also need to break the barriers of participation by leading by example. That’s one of the reasons why we prioritize having diverse perspectives and backgrounds at the Board and executive leadership levels.”
